Cottage food labeling requirements in North Carolina

Verify every requirement with the official agency cited below before producing or selling food.
Each package of cottage food sold in North Carolina must include:
- Product name
- Manufacturer's name and physical address (a website address can't substitute)
- Net weight in ounces/pounds with the gram equivalent (or fluid ounces with the mL equivalent)
- Complete ingredient list in descending order of predominance by weight, with sub-ingredients in parentheses
- Major allergens (milk, egg, tree nuts, wheat, soy, peanuts, sesame, fish, shellfish) in the ingredient list or a "Contains" statement
- Nutrition label only if claims are made (e.g., low fat, sugar free)
